Hill handed reigns at Goytre United

goytreGOYTRE UNITED have turned to player/assistant manager Andy Hill to revive the club’s fortunes after a disappointing league campaign saw the club finish 11th in MacWhirter Welsh League Division One.

Hill, a veteran forward in both the Welsh Premier and Welsh League, was appointed as manager last week following the departure of Robert Cooke.

Club favourite Cooke was drafted in for a second-spell as manager last November to replace Derek Brazil.

Further announcements on Hill’s backroom staff will be made in due course according the club’s website.

Since winning the Welsh League in 2010, Goytre have struggled to record a top-half finish in Division One. Hill will be expected to adapt to management quickly if he is to revive United’s fortunes next season.
